Branding and Glow-up Day for OBM, Bella Executive Solutions

There's something incredibly special about working with a small business founder to bring their new brand and website to life.

That's exactly what happened with Sandra from Bella Executive Solutions, and the transformation was so beautiful it's still one of my favourite projects to talk about.

Meet Bella Executive Solutions

Having started out as one of the OG Virtual Assistants, founder of Bella Executive Solutions Sandra had spent the last decade growing her business into a sought-after OBM (Online Business Manager) agency.

As often happens though, Sandra had been so busy serving her clients - her own OBM branding and Wix website had been left behind. We’re both in The Holt community, and Sandra learned about me through a recommendation, and I’m so happy she reached out to see how I could help.

On our discovery call, it wasn’t hard to see that Sandra is warm, enthusiastic - and amazing at what she does. And I understood why she felt that her website wasn’t reflecting her personality, or the quality of expertise that Bella Executive Solutions provide.

As Bella Executive Solution’s website had good content and Sandra didn’t feel like she needed a full custom site, I recommended a website redesign via my Glow-up Day service, as well as a Brand Visuals Day to create a stronger brand that matched her personality and expertise.

Client homework

Before our strategy call, I asked Sandra to:

  • complete a brand questionnaire

  • create a Pinterest board that reflected her personality and vibe.

This is a really fun and key part of the design process.

Having this information before our Strategy Session allowed me to really understand Sandra’s style preferences, clients and business in more depth - particularly her long term goals for Bella Executive Solutions because was important that her new brand had capacity to scale and evolve with her business.

Strategy session

Armed with Sandra’s brand questionnaire and Pinterest board, we had a great Strategy session where we dived into both Sandra’s new brand and website refresh.

We decided to move from the corporate feel of her original virtual assistant branding - to an expert, bright, more vibrant (and pink!) aesthetic that truly reflected her amazing energy and bubbly personality.

We also talked about restructuring her website pages. Sandra's services and pricing were previously scattered across multiple pages, making it hard for potential clients to understand what she offered. We wanted to bring everything together onto one clear, comprehensive page.

Branding: Brand Visuals Day

After the strategy call, I spent a day on full brand development: creating a logo, colour palette, image direction, brand marks and website layouts.

The image mood board influenced the colour palette as well as Sandra’s brand photoshoot:

What's so unique about the Bright Avenue Brand Visuals day, is that (unsurprisingly from a web designer) there’s a huge focus on your online brand.

I want clients to see exactly how their new brand will look online before we touch their website, so this visual clarity is really important.

Sandra’s brand board included website sections and User Interface (UI) features such as buttons and social media icons - so she could really visualise how her new brand would look in action. Here’s a snapshot of the board:

Website header image layout with a female holding pink balloons on one side, and a heading and sub heading on the other.
Brand elements for an OBM agency including brand badges and social media icons.

We both absolutely loved the results.

A gorgeous pastel palette with darker black tones that felt both expert and dreamy - reflecting the sense of calm, organised efficiency that Sandra brings to her clients' businesses.

(I’m also a little obsessed with the balloons we introduced into the brand to represent Sandra’s playful side).

The brand board we created became Sandra's roadmap. She shared it with her brand photographer, the amazing Hester Barnes Photography, who captured the colour palette perfectly on their shoot - and beautifully recreated some of the shots we'd mapped out…and much much more.

The final images were absolutely stunning and completely aligned with the brand vision.

Website Redesign: Glow-up Day

Once Sandra's brand foundations were signed-off, and her photoshoot was complete - we booked her website Glow-up Day.

Glow-up days aren’t just about making things look pretty (though they definitely do that). They're about bringing together strategic thinking with clean, beautiful design to create websites that actually perform and deliver the results clients need.

As well as making sure Sandra’s new site matched her new brand aesthetically, we also:

Added a bold vision statement at the top of the homepage that immediately communicates Sandra's expertise, approach and what she stands for:

Call out website section with big bold text and a pink background with boukeh lights.

Introduced an impact section that really demonstrates the difference hiring Sandra and her team makes. Because although people want to know what you do, they also want to understand how their life will be better because of it:

Created a new FAQ section - answering all those questions potential clients have before they're ready to get in touch. This type of content builds trust and saves Sandra time by pre-qualifying enquiries:

Website section with a list of FAQs and an image of a brunette female holding pastel balloons.

Added little details which will make a big difference: for example - highlighting 'most popular' next to the service Sandra most wants to focus on as her business grows. This guides people towards the work she's most passionate about:

Updated her blog to support Sandra's SEO strategy - blogs are a great way to get traffic to your site:

Included a detailed section about process. Potential clients can now see exactly what working with Bella Executive Solutions looks like, which removes so much uncertainty from the buying decision:

Why this approach works

Sandra's project demonstrates how important it is to do things in the right order.

The brand development gave us a crystal-clear foundation to build from.

So by the time we reached the Gow-up Day, we weren't making any random design decisions. Everything we did was intentional and aligned with her brand strategy.

The combination of strategic thinking and beautiful design means Sandra's website doesn't just look professional - it communicates her expertise, addresses client concerns, and actively guides people towards working with her.

The result

The difference is remarkable. Sandra went from having a website that did the job to having a complete brand and online presence that truly represents the calibre of her work. You can see her new website here

Sandra says:

"I’m completely in love with it…It's authentically me in every way and is bright, happy and polished. Mission accomplished! I can't wait to launch and celebrate this huge milestone. Thanks again for playing such a huge part in helping me achieve this long awaited dream.”

And even a few months later, I’ve just heard from Sandra to say she’s still in love with her brand and website (these emails honestly make my day)….

But even more importantly, Sandra now has the tools and clarity to attract the right clients and grow Bella Executive Solutions in the direction she wants.
